Jets Are 1-4, But Brandon Marshall Believes They’re In ‘A Perfect Position’

The 1-4 New York Jets are in last place, and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is tossing out interceptions like candy on Halloween.

Hardly an ideal situation, right?

Well, not if you ask wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

“This is a perfect position for us,’’ Marshall told the New York Post’s Mark Cannizzaro after Sunday’s 31-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. “We have great talent in this room. We’re one of the most talented teams in the league. So, we can do one or two things — we can fold it up and cry, or we can stick together and continue to work. I’m already over this loss. We’re going to turn this around. I promise you that. Starting right now. I promise you that.’’

Time probably is running out for the Jets to make a surprising run at a playoff berth. They are tied with the Miami Dolphins for last place in the AFC East, and not much has been going right for them on offense or defense.

Oh, and their next game is a “Monday Night Football” road matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, and they still have to face the New England Patriots twice.

That certainly doesn’t seem like a perfect position. But, hey, crazier things have happened, right?
