LeBron James and Dwyane Wade finally set the stakes for their World Series bet, and it’s … kind of boring.
James and Wade, who play for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls, respectively, agreed to a bet for the Indians-Cubs Fall Classic, and they finally decided what to wager Tuesday. Wade proposed the bet for UnInterrupted, revealing the loser would have to wear the winning team’s gear whenever they visit the winning city during the NBA season.
Either James will wear Cubs clothing Dec. 2 in Chicago, or Wade will have to rep the Indians on Jan. 4 in Cleveland.
If they simply have to wear a jersey for the winning team, then that’s a pretty weak bet. But based on what Wade said, it sounds as though there’s a possibility their whole outfit has to be dedicated to the World Series champs, which might end up being pretty funny.
Either way, James currently has an advantage in the bet after the Indians shut out the Cubs 6-0 in Game 1 on Tuesday.
