Lions’ Last-Second Win Over Redskins Had Skip Bayless All Sorts Of Confused

Kirk Cousins had just led the Washington Redskins on an impressive comeback, and Skip Bayless was ready to tell the world.

The Redskins trailed the Detroit Lions by 10 points with under six minutes remaining in Sunday’s game when Cousins took over, throwing for one touchdown and rushing for another to put his team ahead by four. These developments had Bayless very fired up, and the FOX Sports analyst shared his thoughts via Twitter.

We hate to burst Skip’s bubble, but there’s one problem with this tweet: He sent it before the game was over.

That turned out to be a problem for Bayless, as Matthew Stafford led the Lions down the field following Cousins’ second TD and found Anquan Boldin for an 18-yard touchdown pass with 16 seconds remaining. That sealed a 20-17 win for Detroit, which meant Bayless’ tweet needed some amending.

To his credit, Bayless didn’t delete his premature tweet — instead choosing to gloat about correctly picking Washington to win, just moments after incorrectly identifying the Lions as the winning team.

Never change, Skip.
