Joey Julius usually is the one knocking opposing players down with brutal hits, but the roles were reversed Saturday in an ugly incident between Penn State and Minnesota.

Julius, a 258-pound kicker — yes, you read that right — for the Nittany Lions, was leveled by Gophers freshman linebacker Jaylen Waters on a cheap shot during Penn State’s 29-26 win.

Waters was ejected for the hit, which was so dirty that both sidelines emptied.

It doesn’t get worse than that, no matter how big the kicker is.
