The NFL’s trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1, and the San Francisco 49ers are open to trading veteran wide receiver Torrey Smith, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter also notes “multiple teams have shown interest.”

One of them appears to be the Philadelphia Eagles, per ProFootballTalk.

Smith has Super Bowl-winning experience and his speed makes him a deep threat. He’s struggled statistically this season, although some of that can be attributed to the 49ers’ atrocious quarterback play. Smith has 13 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns through six games.

San Francisco is 1-6 after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 despite having a 14-point lead after the first quarter.

The Eagles surprisingly are 4-2, just one game behind the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East division lead. These teams will play Sunday night in Dallas.

Adding another wide receiver for rookie quarterback Carson Wentz certainly isn’t a bad move for the Eagles, but the price needs to be right. They gave up a bunch of draft picks to move up and select Wentz back in May.
