Patriots Practice Report: Perfect Attendance In Preparation For Steelers Game

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots placed two players on injured reserve last week, refilled their roster and now are back to having perfect practice attendance.

All 53 players on the active roster and 10 practice-squad members were present and accounted for Wednesday, the first day of practice this week as the Patriots prepare for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to the practice field after an illness held him out Friday. Linebacker Elandon Roberts and defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton appear to have avoided serious injuries in Sunday’s 35-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Linebacker Jamie Collins’ presence also was notable after being inactive with a hip injury Sunday.

Running back Dion Lewis and guard Tre’ Jackson, both of whom are on the physically unable to perform list, weren’t on the field. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t expect either to begin practicing this week.
