The slate has been wiped clean.

After a grueling 162-game regular season, the Major League Baseball playoffs have begun. Each team will begin its quest for a World Series title on equal footing, regardless of what has happened over the past six months, and the 2016 postseason is littered with fascinating storylines, including the Boston Red Sox’s worst-to-first turnaround and David Ortiz’s attempt to retire as a four-time champion.

The Red Sox’s playoff journey begins with an American League Division Series showdown with the Cleveland Indians, who are managed by former Boston skipper Terry Francona. The Indians have suffered a few key injuries in recent weeks, making the Red Sox a popular pick going into the ALDS clash, but anything can happen in October. The Sox can’t afford to overlook the Tribe.

Darren Hartwell and Sam Galanis broke down the upcoming Red Sox-Indians series on the latest episode of “The Dish,” NESN.com’s new baseball web series. Ricky Doyle and Mike Cole also looked back on the Red Sox’s impressive campaign to date and discussed Boston’s biggest surprises, biggest disappointments and which breakout star deserves MVP consideration.

Speaking of the MVP, Cam McDonough gave his MLB awards picks on the latest episode of “The Dish,” in addition to making a World Series prediction that could change baseball’s landscape.

All of the fun can be found in the video above. Be sure to check back with NESN.com and NESN’s YouTube page for more episodes of “The Dish.”
