CLEVELAND — Tom Brady and Rob Ninkovich officially are a part of the New England Patriots’ 53-man roster.

The Patriots activated Brady and Ninkovich from the exempt list, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. The Patriots received roster exemptions for Brady and Ninkovich as they returned from four-game suspensions.

Brady was suspended for Deflategate, while Ninkovich violated the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy. The Patriots previously made room for Brady and Ninkovich by placing rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett on injured reserve and cutting tight end Clay Harbor.

The Patriots also released guard Jonathan Cooper and signed rookie defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton off their practice squad.
