Walt Weiss will not return for a fifth season as Colorado Rockies manager.

Weiss stepped down from his position as Colorado’s skipper, according to a statement released Monday by the Rockies. His contract expired at the conclusion of the 2016 season.

The Rockies went 283-365 in his four seasons at the helm. They went 75-87 and finished in third place in the National League West this season, representing their best finish since Weiss took over before the 2013 campaign.

The Rockies job was Weiss’ first managerial gig since retiring as a player following the 2000 season.
