Merry Christmas, basketball fans. The NBA is back.
Kevin Durant and the defending Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors (still weird) open their season by hosting the San Antonio Spurs, who for the first time in 19 years will be without Tim Duncan.
These two teams finished first and second in the Western Conference last season, and racked up an astounding 140 wins (73 for Golden State, 67 for San Antonio). Plus, with the last three MVPs (Kevin Durant, Steph Curry twice) and last two Defensive Players of the Year (Kawhi Leonard), this is sure to be a thrilling season opener.
