The Cleveland Indians were dealt some adversity Monday when starter Trevor Bauer was forced to exit Game 3 of the American League Championship Series in the first inning because his finger wouldn’t stop bleeding all over the place. It was a rather disgusting scene — one that backed the Indians into a corner — but Cleveland manager Terry Francona still found some humor in the situation and shared a laugh with first baseman Mike Napoli.

Bauer’s injury, of course, was no laughing matter, especially since it forced the Indians to dip into their bullpen in the opening frame. But give Francona credit for keeping things loose. And give him even more credit for piecing together Game 3, which the Indians won 4-2 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS.
