The Boston Bruins took a lead into the first intermission but fell into a food coma from there on out.
The Ottawa Senators scored three unanswered goals in the final 27 minutes of action to down the B’s 3-1 on Thanksgiving.
David Pastrnak and Kevan Miller made returns from injury, but Zdeno Chara was absent with one of his own.

Mac and Cheese
If your favorite Thanksgiving dish is macaroni and cheese, you probably were pretty excited as the first period came to a close.
Not only did you get to enjoy some delicious mac ‘n’ cheese Thursday, you got to see Pasta pot a goal — his 11th of the season — as time expired on Boston’s power play and the opening period.
Turkey Time
Both teams were a bit lethargic in the second period, so clearly it was time for Thanksgiving dinner. We can’t blame them. We’re not very good at mowing turkey legs with ice skates on, either.
Stuffed
Apparently Boston ate a little too much during dinner because they never recovered after allowing a game-tying goal in the second period to Mark Stone.
Tryptophan Time
The Bruins just fell asleep in the third period, allowing two more unanswered goals to Chris Wideman and Kyle Turris to extend Ottawa’s lead to 3-1.
Leftovers
— Boston was outshot by the Senators, 22-19.
— The defense looked a bit shaky in the absence of Zdeno Chara, who was injured Tuesday. They did see the return of Kevan Miller, though, who made his season debut after breaking his thumb during the preseason.

— Krug registered a team-high four shots on net.
— Tuukka Rask allowed all three goals at even strength. He finished with 19 saves in 22 chances, while Craig Anderson saved 18 of 19 shots.
