Classy Raiders Fan Slaps Young Panthers Fan Given TD Ball By Cam Newton

The “Black Hole” shows no mercy, not even for children.

Among Cam Newton’s many game-day traditions is handing the football to a young fan in the stands following a Carolina Panthers’ touchdown. After powering in for a 3-yard touchdown run against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, the reigning MVP passed off the football to a young Panthers fan amid a sea of Raider fans.

His act of kindness quickly went south.

The young fan was captured on video taking a slap to the face from a nearby Raiders fan, in a clear attempt to ruin this feel good moment. The Panthers fan demonstrated great ball skills, though, holding on to the football despite the shot to the face. He even maintained his ear-to-ear smile.

This type of debauchery is not uncommon at Raider games, as fans of the silver and black have become notorious for their aggressive and often violent nature. That’s why it came as no surprise when several Oakland fans engaged in a separate violent altercation.

Almost lost in the mayhem was the Raiders’ impressive 35-32 victory over the Panthers, which improved their season record to 9-2 and gave them the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff race. Oakland fans should let go of all this anger, if you ask us, since their team is positioned to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
