David Ortiz was the big winner at the second annual The Globies sports award program hosted by The Boston Globe on Monday.

Ortiz was honored in four individual categories — Boston Pride, Red Sox MVP, Best Moment, and Athlete of the Year — and was also part of two sports marketing awards.

At a packed House of Blues, Ortiz and other Boston sports figures were honored for accomplishments over the past 15 months. Two other awards — Lifetime Achievement (Bob Cousy) and Community Hero (Team Impact) — recognized long-term contributions to the sports community.

Ortiz’s “Best Moment” was his 500th home run in September of 2015. The time period for consideration for the 2016 Globies was July 2015 to July 2016.

NESN’s Red Sox play-by-play announcer Dave O’Brien was honored as the “Voice of Boston.”

Two women whose acts of sportsmanship made international headlines received Good Sport Awards: Boston Marathon champion Atsede Bayse giving her trophy to Roberta Gibb in recognition of Gibb becoming the first woman to run the Boston Marathon in 1966; and Abbey D’Agostino, the runner from Topsfield who stopped during the women’s 5,000 meters at the 2016 Olympics to assist and encourage a fallen competitor.

NESN will broadcast The Globies on Friday at 8 p.m.
