You know how the saying goes: If you throw a sex toy onto an NFL field, you’d better be prepared to live with the consequences.

OK, that’s not a real saying, but the above actually happened in an Oct. 30 game between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots, when someone chucked a phallic object onto New Era Field in the middle of a play.

Apparently two Bills fans were responsible for the prank, and justice has been swift: Bills vice president of guest services and operations Andy Major announced Wednesday that both fans have been banned for life, not just from New Era Field but from every NFL stadium.

Major would not release the names of the two fans but confirmed they are from the Buffalo area.

“Luckily nobody was hurt, none of our players stepped on it and blew their knee out,” Major said, via WBEN’s Brian Mazurowski.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who threw four touchdown passes in New England’s 41-25 win, admitted he saw the sex object on the field and added “only in Buffalo” would such a strange event occur.

The Patriots and Bills won’t meet again this season, meaning the book likely is closed on this bizarre incident.
