Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire: Best Pickups At Every Position
The playoffs are just a few weeks away for most fantasy football owners, which means your waiver wire pickups never have been more important.
Injuries, suspensions and poor performances have made for a largely unpredictable fantasy season. But that instability has allowed for a lot of talent to emerge on the waiver wire, and that remains the case heading into next week.
Here are the top waiver wire options at each position for Week 11.
Note: All listed players are owned in less that 60 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues.
Quarterback: Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers
Kaepernick remains unowned in a majority of fantasy leagues, but he’s a fine streaming option this week against the New England Patriots. Kaepernick has been playing better lately, and although the 49ers will be huge underdogs in Week 11, he should be able to put up a lot of points in garbage time against a soft Patriots defense.
Other quarterbacks to pursue: Tyrod Taylor (BUF), Brock Osweiler (HOU), Joe Flacco (BAL)
Running Back: Robert Kelley, Washington Redskins
Even if Matt Jones returns from injury next week against the Green Bay Packers, Kelley likely has done enough to win the starting job. Kelley has averaged 92 rushing yards in his last two games, and he should see plenty of action against an increasingly weak Packers defense.
Other running backs to pursue: Thomas Rawls (SEA), James Starks (GB), C.J. Prosise (SEA)
Wide Receiver: Cameron Meredith, Chicago Bears
Conventional wisdom suggests never trusting someone on the Bears with your fantasy season in the balance, but a four-game PED suspension to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery changes everything. Meredith hasn’t had the same production with quarterback Jay Cutler as he did with Brian Hoyer, but Cutler has to air it out to somebody, and Meredith should reap the benefits.
Other wide receivers to target: Kenny Britt (STL) DeVante Parker (MIA), Richard Matthews (TEN)
Tight End: Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions
Ebron has been a stud in his two games since returning from injury, posting 79 and 92 receiving yards in Weeks 8 and Week 9, respectively. Aside from the three games lost to injury, Ebron has managed at least 40 yards in every game he’s played this season. He only has one touchdown, but he’s clearly passed Marvin Jones on Matthew Stafford’s priority list and should get plenty of opportunities against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Other tight ends to pursue: Cameron Brate (TB), Vernon Davis (WSH)
