One of the best third basemen in the American League could be leaving the only place he’s ever called home as a Major League Baseball player.

According the MLB.com’s Jon Morosi, the Tampa Bay Rays are considering trading slugger Evan Longoria this offseason.

So, why would the Los Angeles Dodgers let Turner walk in free agency? Apparently their division rivals, the San Francisco Giants, are considering swooping in to steal him away.

We’re only a short time into free agency, but it appears MLB’s Hot Stove might be piping this winter.
