Mookie Betts wasn’t about to let something like a silly knee surgery ruin his weekend.

The Boston Red Sox right fielder was at TD Garden on Friday night to watch the Boston Celtics crush the New York Knicks, one day after he had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. And Betts caught up with NESN’s Emerson Lotzia during the game.

Betts talked about his knee, awards season, bench coach Torey Lovullo’s departure for the Arizona Diamondbacks and much, much more. Check it out in the video above from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank.
