A trio of teams enter their NFL Week 9 contests as road favorites, starting with the Dallas Cowboys, who put their six-game straight-up win streak on the line against the winless Cleveland Browns as 7 1/2-point favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Dallas posted a 29-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend, covering as a five-point favorite and extending its lead atop the NFC East to two games ahead of Sunday afternoon’s Cowboys vs. Browns betting matchup at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Cowboys also have gone undefeated against the spread during their current tear but have been a tough bet when favored by a touchdown or more on the road, going 3-15 ATS in their past 18 outings.

The Browns search for an end to a SU slide that now sits at 11 games, including four home dates. Cleveland has failed to cover in six of eight this season but is 2-3 ATS in its last five games as an underdog of 7 1/2 or more points.

Cleveland also is winless in its past three meetings with the Cowboys, going 1-2 ATS, and last posted a SU home win over Dallas in 1988.

Later on Sunday afternoon, the Carolina Panthers will look to post consecutive SU wins for the first time this season when they visit the Los Angeles Rams as three-point favorites. The defending NFC champions claimed just their second victory of the year last weekend, topping the Arizona Cardinals 30-20 as 2 1/2-point home chalk.

The road has been unkind to the Panthers, who are 0-5 SU in their past five away from Bank of America Stadium, and winless ATS in seven, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Rams have lost three straight SU and ATS, including a 17-10 loss to the New York Giants as three-point home chalk, and are 1-5 SU and ATS in their past six against Carolina.

Up the coast, the San Francisco 49ers host the high-powered New Orleans Saints as 3 1/2-point underdogs. The 49ers are 0-6 SU and ATS since handing the Rams a 28-0 loss in Week 1, scoring 18 or fewer points on four occasions.

Conversely, the Saints are 3-1 SU and unbeaten ATS in their past four games, averaging over 30 points per game during that stretch. However, the Saints are just 1-3 SU in their past four games against the Niners and failed to cover in their past five.

In other NFL Week 9 betting action, the Eagles visit the Giants as three-point underdogs, the Oakland Raiders host the Denver Broncos as one-point chalk and the Buffalo Bills visit the Seattle Seahawks as seven-point underdogs on “Monday Night Football.”
