The University of Michigan realizes there are more important things than sports, namely life and death.

Michigan’s Athletics Department sent a message of support to The Ohio State University on Monday via Twitter amid the active shooter situation on campus.

At least nine people were injured before police killed a suspected gunman during the terrifying hours Monday morning, according to CNN.

The shootings took place just two days after Ohio State football defeated Michigan in double-overtime in the latest installment of a rivalry known simply as “The Game.”
