The Oakland Raiders earned a comeback win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday to improve to 9-2 and maintain their position atop the AFC playoff race.

The New England Patriots also own a 9-2 record but sit below the Raiders because of a tiebreaker. The Pats relinquished the No. 1 seed late last season and had to travel to Denver for the AFC Championship Game, which they lost, as a result.

New England is an experienced team, though, and it knows how to win on the road. The Raiders, meanwhile, have very little playoff experience on their roster.

So, which team needs the No. 1 seed in the AFC more? Adam Pellerin and Jermaine Wiggins broke it down in the “NESN Sports Today” video above, presented by People’s United Bank.
