FOXBORO, Mass. — After two days of perfect practice attendance, two New England Patriots players weren’t spotted during Friday’s session.

Wide receiver Chris Hogan and defensive end Chris Long were absent for the portion of Patriots practice open to the media. Neither player was listed on the Patriots’ injury report after Thursday’s practice session.

The reason for Hogan and Long’s absences will be listed on Friday afternoon’s practice participation and injury report.

The Patriots released running back Tyler Gaffney on Thursday, and there wasn’t a new player on the practice field Friday. That’s further indication the Patriots plan to activate running back Dion Lewis before Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
