FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots were down three players, including two starters, when they took the field for practice Thursday afternoon.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski, offensive tackle Nate Solder and defensive lineman Woodrow Hamilton all were not present during the portion of practice that was open to the media.

Gronkowski has yet to practice since suffering a chest injury during Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He also missed Wednesday’s session, putting his status for this Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers in doubt.

Solder and Hamilton, meanwhile, both were full participants Wednesday and were not listed on the injury report released later that evening.
