Redskins’ Josh Norman Might Hate Roger Goodell More Than Patriots Fans

A lot of people dislike Roger Goodell, for various reasons. Supporters of the New England Patriots are among the most vocal detractors, frequently calling for the NFL commissioner to be fired ever since he disciplined the organization and quarterback Tom Brady over Deflategate.

But Josh Norman gives Pats fans a run for their money. The Washington Redskins cornerback ripped the league office to shreds back in August, and he doubled down last week when asked by Howard Fendrich of The Associated Press how he thinks the NFL product could be improved.

“Simple: Get the people who are in there out. Whoever’s making the rules, just get ’em out,” Norman told Fendrich. “We have a new president; have a new NFL commissioner.”

Norman’s most recent criticism is rather tame when compared to his August rant, in which he said Goodell was “straight horrible” and that a dog could do the commissioner’s job. But he still clearly isn’t happy with the league’s overall state of affairs. And his displeasure seemingly stems from who’s in charge rather than the game itself.

“The game has been this way for 100 years. Why are people in the (league) office trying to change it? What are you trying to make better? Why touch the game? … Change the staff,” Norman said, per Fendrich. “We changed the president; let’s change them, too. There should be a number of years you can run it. There should be a term limit in the NFL.”

Norman’s phone should be blowing up any minute now.
