Richard Sherman: Karma Has Caught Up With Cam Newton, Panthers In 2016

Many Seattle Seahawks fans haven’t forgotten Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton grabbing a 12th Man flag after the 2015 NFL MVP winner defeated the then-defending NFC champions in a playoff game last season.

It appears Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman hasn’t either, and he was asked about it ahead of Sunday night’s Seahawks-Panthers showdown in Seattle.

The Panthers and Seahawks are headed in opposite directions entering Week 13. Carolina went 15-1 in the regular season in 2015 but has struggled to a 4-7 record this campaign, while Seattle remains a top NFC contender and leads the NFC West division at 7-3-1.

The Panthers still are alive in the NFC South race because there’s no clear cut favorite in the division, and you can bet Sherman and the Seahawks would love to deal a huge blow to Carolina’s playoff chances with a win Sunday night.
