Friday night will mark the first game Kevin Durant has played in Boston since signing with the Golden State Warriors. And if shirts being sold outside TD Garden are any indication, Celtics fans still are salty about Durant choosing the Warriors over Boston.
The Celtics aggressively pursued the All-Star forward in free agency over the summer, but Durant opted to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and move further west, and Celtics fans apparently still are holding a grudge.
Fair or not, applause surely doesn’t await Durant and the rest of Warriors inside TD Garden on Friday, which apparently doesn’t bother KD one bit.
