The New Jersey Devils will be without their best player for possibly a month after forward Taylor Hall recently suffered a knee injury.
The injury will keep him out three to four weeks after he had surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, per the team.
Hall last played Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres and was held out of Tuesday’s matchup with the Dallas Stars for precautionary reasons.
The left winger has tallied a team-high 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 14 games for New Jersey. The Devils are off to an impressive 9-3-3 start this season, but they could struggle without Hall because with him their offense already ranks 23rd in goals scored per game.
Hall is in his first season with the Devils after they acquired him via trade from the Edmonton Oilers over the summer.
