The No. 4 Clemson Tigers have a pretty clear path to the College Football Playoff.
If the Tigers beat rival South Carolina on Saturday and best Virginia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference title game, they likely will be one of the four teams playing for a national championship. But, with already one shaky loss on their schedule, they can’t afford another in the Palmetto Bowl.
