It’s coming down to the wire in fantasy and real-life football, which means there are some tough decisions ahead.

Luckily for you, we went through the Dallas Cowboys-Minnesota Vikings “Thursday Night Football” matchup and recommended some players to start and sit.

DALLAS COWBOYS
Quarterback: There certainly are better fantasy football QB options than Dak Prescott. He’s 15th in the NFL with 2,385 passing yards and is tied for 14th in touchdowns (18). Start one of the elite QBs if you have them, but if Prescott is your best option, you could do a lot worse.

Running Back: Ezekiel Elliott arguably has been the best player in the NFL this season, and he’s rewarded fantasy owners who took a chance on him early in their drafts. He leads the NFL with 1,199 rushing yards, and he has the second-most rushing touchdowns (11).

Wide Receiver: The Vikings have the fourth-best passing defense in the NFL this season, which should be a bit concerning for Cole Beasley and Dez Bryant owners this week. The good news is Bryant has been great in his past three games (268 yards, three touchdowns), and Beasley continues to have wildly consistent statistics, no matter the opponent.

Tight End: Jason Witten owners were hopeful his recent huge game against the Cleveland Browns was the start of a fantasy renaissance, but he hasn’t had a touchdown since and has been held under 40 receiving yards in two of three games.

Defense: Dallas has the fifth-fewest points per game, and it ranks third in total rushing yards allowed. That’s pretty good, and the Vikings are hardly an offense to worry about.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Quarterback: The Vikings’ offense has been pretty atrocious of late, and Sam Bradford is a big reason why. He failed to throw a touchdown pass against the Detroit Lions last week, and he only has 12 all season. We hope you have a better quarterback option than Bradford this (and every) week.

Running Back: Jerick McKinnon’s had fewer than 10 rushing attempts in three of his last four games, and he only has one rushing touchdown all season. Matt Asiata similarly has fewer than 10 attempts in his four previous games, although he has a rushing touchdown in three straight contests. Oh, and we mentioned Dallas has the third-best rushing defense in the league, right?

Wide Receiver: Stefon Diggs didn’t play on Thanksgiving against the Lions, so watch out for his injury status if you plan on starting him. But it might be risky to play him anyway with the injury question mark. Adam Thielen is a name to watch out for, especially if Diggs is out again.

Tight End: If there is any Viking you should start, we’d go with Kyle Rudolph. He had nine receptions for 64 yards against the Lions, and the Cowboys have been vulnerable against opposing tight ends.

Defense: Most weeks we’d say definitely start the Vikings, who have one of the best defenses in the league, but you don’t face the high-powered Cowboys every week.
