Paige VanZant Would Fight Ronda Rousey If She Agreed To One Condition

Maybe Paige VanZant and Ronda Rousey can settle whatever differences they have once and for all inside the octagon.

TMZ Sports recently caught up with VanZant and asked her about Rousey’s impending return to mixed martial arts later this month against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. VanZant, who apparently had a rather unpleasant run-in with Rousey earlier this year, predicted a victory for Rowdy while also expressing a willingness to fight the former UFC woman’s bantamweight champion under one condition.

“Hey, if she wants to meet me at 125 (pounds),” said VanZant.

VanZant typically fights at 115 pounds while Rousey usually throws down at 135 pounds, so each fighter would be stepping outside her comfort zone. VanZant doesn’t see it as being an issue, though. Thus, the ball appears to be in Rousey’s court.

“I would consider going up to 125,” VanZant said. “It’s not that big of a weight gain for me.”

So is VanZant confident she’d take care of business against Rousey?

“We’ll see if we meet at 125,” she said.
