It’s been a long and turbulent road to UFC 206, but the latest UFC pay-per-view finally is here.
The fight card originally was headlined by the light heavyweight title bout between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, but the main event was switched after Cormier suffered an injury. Instead, Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis will face off in a five-round bout for the interim featherweight title after Conor McGregor was forced to vacate his belt, making Jose Aldo the champion.
That fight still will be the main event, but it comes with a twist after Pettis missed weight at the weigh-ins. That means “Showtime” can’t win the interim belt even if he beats Holloway, who still is eligible for the interim title if he’s victorious Saturday.
