Apparently, double agents don’t only appear in spy movies.

That’s right, there are even spies in college football. According to an announcement from Wake Forest, the team’s radio announcer Tommy Elrod shared game plan information with their opponents on multiple occasions dating back to 2014.

How’s that for a #wakeyleaks scandal?

The school launched an investigation into a possible leak after game plan documents were found at Louisville’s stadium prior to their November game against the Cardinals. That investigation found evidence that Elrod had been leaking or attempting to leak important game plan information since 2014.

Elrod played football at Wake Forest from 1993 to 1997 before joining the coaching staff and rising to quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator under former head coach Jim Grobe. Elrod was not retained as an assistant under current coach Dave Clawson, and he joined IMG Radio in 2014.

He has been terminated from his position.
