We were waiting all day for Sunday night, but it wasn’t because of “Sunday Night Football.”
While the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys added another epic chapter to their storied rivalry, the biggest moment of the night came just minutes before kickoff, when the shocking, controversial first trailer for “The Fate of the Furious” made its world debut on NBC.
Central to the trailer’s theme is former WWE superstar Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s character, Luke Hobbs, who leads the team on a mission to figure out where the heck Dom Toretto’s (played by Vin Diesel) heel turn came from.
The trailer was so highly anticipated that Times Square actually was shut down for a premiere event that featured the cast.
Looks like it was a good time.
“The Fate of the Furious” debuts in theaters April 14, 2017.
