“NESN Next Producer” Season 2 finalists Sintia Arelus of Central Connecticut State and Tina Xu of Wellesley College were invited to Fenway Park on Tuesday night to learn who would take home the title of NESN Next Producer and $20,000 in prize money.
Sintia and Tina began the night on NESN’s Red Sox pregame show being interviewed by Tom Caron. Fan Favorite voting winners Andrew Barrett and Colin Bell from Boston University also were interviewed for the show by NESN Red Sox sideline reporter Guerin Austin.
Tina also had a chance to thank Boston slugger Hanley Ramirez for being a part of her winning Red Sox commercial.
The big announcement came in the top of the fourth inning, when Red Sox chairman Tom Werner joined Dennis Eckersley and Dave O’Brien in the NESN broadcast booth to name Tina Xu the 2017 winner of “NESN Next Producer.”
