Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale is new to the rivalry with the New York Yankees, but he has dominated the Bronx Bombers throughout his major league career.

Sale owns a 4-1 record against the Yankees with a 1.17 ERA and 61 strikeouts. In fact, Yankees manager Joe Giradi acknowledged the Red Sox’s new left-hander has “always been tough” on New York.

Sale takes the mound Thursday night against the Yankees at Fenway Park and will look to continue his dominant start to the 2017 season, his first with the Red Sox.
