One young NASCAR fan recently got to go for a spin with Jimmie Johnson. Although the car they were in wasn’t in Johnson’s No. 48 Chevrolet SS, it was the next-best thing.

Johnson took Tyler, a fan of his who currently is dealing with health issues, for a ride Wednesday in a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible. But Tyler didn’t just go for a ride around the block, he also got to experience one of the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s celebratory donuts.

If you don’t mind getting a new car with a bit of tread burned off its tires, you’ll be happy to know Johnson is giving the car away. The seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion is selling 4,848 raffle tickets for $48 dollars each, with proceeds benefiting the Jimmie Johnson Foundation’s programs supporting public education.

While some professional athletes deservedly get bad raps, it’s important to not let some bad apples spoil the whole orchard. Because, as this video shows, some stars use their fame to help launch important philanthropic efforts.
