The Boston Red Sox had their chances Friday night.

The Red Sox fell 3-2 to the Oakland Athletics in extra innings, and their offense will lament the missed opportunities.

Boston went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and saw rallies in the fifth, seventh and ninth innings fizzle, as the offense failed to produce a big hit.
