Red Sox Pitchers Showing No Signs Of Slowing Down Despite Heavy Workload
The Boston Red Sox currently lead the American League with a 3.66 ERA despite Boston pitchers logging 76 innings in just seven games since the All-Star break.
The workload for the Red Sox pitching staff has been extremely heavy, but pitching coach Carl Willis says the starting rotation’s efforts working deep into games has helped so that the Red Sox aren’t overworking the bullpen.
The Red Sox haven’t led the American League in ERA through a full season in 10 years.
