It’s not exactly a secret that the New England Patriots plan to take a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Patriots recently held private workouts with two quarterbacks who are expected to be selected on the second or third day of next week’s draft, sources told NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. The Patriots worked out Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta and Washington State’s Luke Falk.

It previously was reported by NFL Media that the Patriots privately worked out Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph and Western Kentucky’s Mike White.

The Patriots also have expressed interest in UCLA’s Josh Rosen, among other signal callers.

Patriots starting quarterback Tom Brady will be 41 years old next season and reportedly still hasn’t committed to playing in 2018. The only other quarterback on the Patriots’ roster is 32-year-old backup Brian Hoyer.
