The Boston Red Sox’s season is over, but David Ortiz isn’t done coming up in the clutch.

The Red Sox slugger, who is set to join FOX’s World Series broadcast team for the first two games between the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants, recently gave the surprise of a lifetime to three Massachusetts-based military members.

Big Papi hooked up Iraq and Afghanistan veteran Tom Pittman; Doug Whalen, who served two tours in Iraq, and active servicewoman Molly Alesch with tickets to Game 1 of the Fall Classic at Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday night as part of a partnership between Bank of America, the Red Sox Foundation, Welcome Back Veterans and the Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program.

Ortiz surprised the unsuspecting trio at Fenway Park, giving them a special tour, playing catch with them and thanking them for their service before pulling out the tickets.

The three military members will be honored during the seventh-inning stretch Tuesday night.

Check out how the awesome surprise unfolded in the video below.
