brawlIt’s hard to believe, but a decade has passed since the Boston Red Sox broke the Curse of the Bambino and won their first World Series since 1918.

Since then, Boston fans have been spoiled with two more championships, and the attitude toward the Red Sox has changed from a team that always found a way to lose to a strong organization that has won the most championships in the new century.

Monday marks the 10th anniversary of the Red Sox breaking the “curse,” ending a season that brought tons of unforgettable memories for Red Sox fans, from a strong late-season push in August and September, to a historic comeback in the ALCS that led to the team winning it all.

The team also featured a cast of self-proclaimed “idiots” who stole the hearts of fans across New England. Guys like David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, Manny Ramirez, Jason Varitek, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling and Kevin Millar all played important roles in the team’s run, providing fans with moments they’ll never forget.
