Ray Lewis’ 20-year-old son is in trouble with the law.

Ray Lewis III, son of the ESPN analyst and former Baltimore Ravens linebacker, was charged in Conway, S.C. on Friday with third degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 23 incident in which he allegedly sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman, according to warrants.

The warrants claim Lewis “engaged in sexual battery with the woman while she was mentally incapacitated and/or physically helpless from the use of drugs and/or alcohol.” The victim was taken to a local hospital where a rape kit was performed, according to the police report.

Lewis turned himself in to Conway police on Friday, but his attorneys maintained his innocence in a statement.

“Ray Lewis III is innocent of all charges and we expect him to be fully vindicated by the end of this matter,” the statement read.

Lewis spent two seasons at the University of Miami (Fla.), his father’s alma mater, before transferring to Coastal Carolina in 2015. Lewis has been suspended from Coastal Carolina’s football team, according to a spokesperson, and the university currently is conducting an investigation.
