Kevin Durant reportedly was “blown away” by his meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers but had a mediocre meeting with the Golden State Warriors.
12:54 a.m.: Joe Johnson is joining the Jazz, albeit on a relatively inexpensive contract considering the amount of money being spent, what he made last year (over $20 million) and how well he played with the Miami Heat.
12:34 a.m.: Horford met with four teams Friday, according to reports. The Celtics’ meeting apparently went well.
The Hawks, the only team Horford has ever played for, hasn’t offered him a max contract yet, though some reports late Friday said Atlanta was trying to clear cap space to make room for Horford after signing both Kent Bazemore and center Dwight Howard to contracts north of $70M.

11:58 p.m.: Did the Celtics just land Al Horford? NBA TV seems to think so, though it’s audio is somewhat vague and confusing.
No one else is reporting this anywhere, though, so it seems more likely that the TV host just misspoke.
11 p.m.: Joakim Noah and the Knicks have finalized his new contract, according to multiple reports.
10:59 p.m.: It looks like Bazemore took a slight discount to stay in Atlanta.
10:45 p.m.: Kent Bazemore isn’t going to Houston after all. He’ll stay with the Hawks on another massive deal.
10:25 p.m.: Four teams are interested in Dwyane Wade, who is searching for $20 million per season: The Bulls, Mavericks, Nuggets and Bucks. The Knicks had been interested, but aren’t able to offer him the money he’s searching for.
10:15 p.m.: Jared Dudley is returning to the Phoenix Suns.
The Kings and Bulls are after Dion Waiters’ services.
10:05 p.m.: Former Bulls guard E’Twaun Moore is getting a nice payday to join the Pelicans.
8:00 p.m.: Rajon Rondo met with the Chicago Bulls today, according to multiple reports.
7:20 p.m.: Dwyane Wade is in contract talks with the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks.
7:00 p.m.: Mike Conley and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a five-year, $153 million contract, the richest contract in NBA history, according to reports.
6:36 p.m.: Dwight Howard has agreed to sign with the Atlanta Hawks, per The Vertical.
6:35 p.m.: Jeff Green has a new team.
5:50 p.m.: The Grizzlies are offering Mike Conley the full max of five years, $153 million, according to ESPN.
5:10 p.m.: We’re going to go ahead and take this as an official agreement from Parsons.
4:50 p.m.: The New Orleans Pelicans have found themselves a new small forward in Solomon Hill.
— That Matthew Dellavedova deal isn’t set in stone, yet. If the Cavaliers want to match Milwaukee’s offer, they’ll get the chance to do so, though it seems very unlikely.
— Don’t rule out Dwight Howard going to the Mavericks if his demands in years and dollars go down.
— Hassan Whiteside’s contract isn’t quite set, either. He’s apparently agreed to give some money back to help the team sign Kevin Durant, if he chooses Miami.
3:55Â p.m. Money is flying left and right in the NBA, and Matthew Dellavedova is the latest beneficiary.
3:20 p.m.: Evan Turner’s days with the Boston Celtics are over.
Evan Fournier, meanwhile, has decided to stay with the Orlando Magic.
3:15 p.m.: Chandler Parsons is about to be a very rich man.
The small forward reportedly has agreed to a four-year, $94 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.
And if there was any doubt about Joakim Noah signing with the New York Knicks, he cleared things up on Instagram.
3:05 p.m.: The Milwaukee Bucks apparently have made a move on the first day of free agency.
2:55 p.m.: Boston Celtics fans hoping for Dwight Howard to sign with the C’s might want to look away.
The free agent center reportedly had a meeting with the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, and it apparently went pretty well.
2 p.m.: The Philadelphia 76ers, who could use some guard help, reportedly have signed Jerryd Bayless.
1:00 p.m.: One free agent who apparently won’t be signing with a team is O.J. Mayo, who has been dismissed and disqualified from the NBA for violating the Anti-Drug Program.
12:45 p.m.: Meeting No. 2 for Kevin Durant reportedly just ended. Next up: the Los Angeles Clippers.
12:30 p.m.: The Indiana Pacers reportedly have signed Al Jefferson to a three-year deal.
12:15 p.m.: It’s been relatively quiet over the past hour, but there have been a few interesting news nuggets around the league.
11 a.m.: The Boston Celtics haven’t signed anyone yet, and that’s probably because their reported main focus is on Al Horford, Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard. But one other player they apparently are considering is Kris Humphries.
In other news, we already knew Bradley Beal was planning on re-signing with the Wizards, but now we know for how much, and the Sacramento Kings are going after Dion Waiters.
10:30 a.m.: The Golden State Warriors also are busy, as their meeting with Kevin Durant reportedly already is underway.
Harrison Barnes’ future could be tied to the Warriors’ pursuit of Durant, but they reportedly plan on matching any offer sheet for Barnes.
10 a.m.: Jeremy Lin is returning to New York, although this time he will suit up for the Brooklyn Nets.
Meanwhile, it appears Dwyane Wade is serious about potentially leaving the Miami Heat.
9:30 a.m.: The Boston Celtics continue to be busy.
8:45 a.m.: The Miami Heat re-signed one of their two big free agents.
Hassan Whiteside announced on The Player’s Tribune that he’s returning to Miami. Will Dwyane Wade follow suit?
Also, it appears the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, Los Ageles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies are interested in Evan Turner, a source told Sporting News’ Sean Deveney. The Boston Celtics, his most recent team, would make it seven potential suitors if they show interest.
One player who reportedly has signed a new deal is Ish Smith.
8 a.m. ET: While you were sleeping, NBA teams were making some big moves at the start of free agency.
Nicolas Batum, Andre Drummond, D.J. Augustin and Jordan Clarkson reportedly all will be getting paid handsomely very soon, as all four players reportedly agreed to terms on new contracts overnight.
There still are plenty of big names left on the market, though. The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks reportedly are continuing to go after Hassan Whiteside, and the New York Knicks apparently aren’t done adding pieces.

It’s just after midnight on the East Coast, and the rumors are coming in faster than we can type. Players and agents are meeting with teams as we speak, and close to, if not more than, $1 billion will be handed out before all is said in done.

2:30 a.m.: The Celtics have meetings set up with free-agent centers Al Horford and Dwight Howard, according to reports.
2:23 a.m.: DeRozan’s contract is for five years and $139 million, according to The Vertical. The number is only about 90 percent of what he could earn in a max contract, so despite the gaudy number (approx. $28M per year) he’s actually taking a bit of a discount.
2:02 a.m.: DeMar DeRozan isn’t going anywhere.
The Toronto Raptors All-Star guard is re-signing with the only team he’s ever played for, according to USA TODAY Sports’ Sam Amick.
1:41 a.m.: The Boston Celtics will meet with Dwight Howard, according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
— The Miami Heat left their meeting with Hassan Whiteside without an agreement on a contract, according to The Vertical.
— The Blazers reportedly offered Chandler Parsons a four-year, $96 million max contract, per Real GM.
1:15 a.m.:Â Timofey Mozgov has agreed to a massive four-year, $64 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who received a text from Mozgov’s agent confirming the agreement while on Yahoo! Sports’ live free agency special Friday morning.
Here’s a recap of what’s happened so far tonight:
— The New York Knicks are working on the framework of a four-year, $70-$72 million contract with center Joakim Noah, per The Vertical.
— Atlanta Hawks forward Kent Bazemore wasn’t expected to meet with any teams until July 5, but changed his mind at midnight and is meeting with the Houston Rockets. Their star, James Harden, reportedly is there for the meeting. He’s expected to make between $19-$20 million.
— Cleveland Cavaliers center Timofey Mozgov, who the Boston Celtics reportedly are very interested in, has agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, reporting on Yahoo! Sports’ live free agency special. Mozgov’s agent texted Woj to confirm the deal.
Mozgov isn’t the only player the Lakers are after. They’ll court small forward Nicolas Batum and Boston Celtics wing Evan Turner, who is currently in Los Angeles. They’re also reportedly interested in Celtics center Tyler Zeller.
Chicago Bulls forward Pau Gasol is open to returning to the Los Angeles Lakers, per Woj, but the San Antonio Spurs plan to contact Gasol’s reps.
— The Dallas Mavericks are the front-runners in the Hassan Whiteside sweepstakes, and a deal is expected shortly after free agency begins, per The Vertical.
Mike Conley is expected to meet with the Mavericks on Friday, The Vertical’s Shams Charania reported on Yahoo! Sports’ live free agency special.
— Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons is meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers, who are expecting to offer him a four-year max contract, according to The Vertical.
— The Washington Wizards are preparing to offer shooting guard Bradley Beal, a restricted free agent, a five-year, maximum contract worth approximately $130 million.
— The Los Angeles Clippers are working on re-signing their own free agents. They reportedly have reached out to Jamal Crawford and spoke with Jeff Green and Austin Rivers, per The Vertical.
— The Brooklyn Nets reportedly have a meeting with point guard Rajon Rondo. Another point guard, Brandon Jennings, reportedly has a workout scheduled with them on Friday.
— Luol Deng is drawing big interest from the Utah Jazz, per The Vertical.
— The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to be very aggressive in pursuit of restricted free agents Harrison Barnes, Dion Waiters, Allan Crabbe and Jordan Clarkson.
— If the Golden State Warriors don’t land Kevin Durant, expect them to match any offer for Barnes, per Woj.
