According to talkSPORT, Liverpool could be looking to bid for Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi. Lavezzi's agent, Jose Alberti, said that due to their persistence, the Reds have a good chance of landing the star forward over the summer.

"Lavezzi has been followed by Liverpool for 12 months and they could make a bid for his services," Alberti said.

In his career with Napoli, Lavezzi has 35 goals in 122 games. Alberti added that the club would take a big hit by letting the 25-year-old Argentinean slip away to Anfield.

According to ESPN.com, things won't be getting easier for Carmelo Anthony's team, as two of his teammates and fellow playmakers, Chauncey Billups and Amare Stoudemire, could be out for Game 3 after sustaining injuries in the first two games.

Both players received MRI scans on Wednesday that confirmed Stoudemire has a pulled muscle in his back and Billups strained his left knee. Stoudemire is listed as day-to-day, while Billups is "questionable" for Friday's game.

Billups sustained his injury during an attempted layup in Game 1 and he was forced to sit out the second game of the series.

Stoudemire sat out the second half of Game 2 after complaining of back spasms. He claims he will be ready to play Friday.

"I should be ready for Game 3," he told reporters in Boston. "We'll see how it goes [Wednesday] and next day, but I'm pretty sure — I'm hoping — I'll be ready Friday."

Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni confirmed that Stoudemire will be ready to go.

"He should be OK Friday. … He just felt a little twinge," he said.

Based on his impressive performance this season, Pardew claims that the talented Spanish back has earned his position on the Newcastle club, ESPN.com reports. He added that Enrique will most likely be signed to a multiyear deal."

There's definitely no deal between the clubs –- 100 percent," he said. "He's under contract here until next summer and we hope to open talks on a new deal as soon as possible. That's where we are.

"We want to keep our best players, and Jose's one of them. As far as anything being a done deal, that's not true. We want Jose to stay. Nothing's changed."

The rumors started circulating after Phil Thompson claimed in a television interview that the deal was already complete.

Pardew found himself in a similar situation in January when he said Andy Carroll would not be dealt to the Reds. Newcastle management disagreed, however, when a tempting £35 million offer was put on the table.

Liverpoolfc.tv reports that the Reds manager is seeking creative ways to best utilize Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, and Sevilla winger Diego Perotti just might be a good fit.

Dalglish said that he did not have the right combination of players to help Suarez and Carroll live up to their full potential and is ready to make some deals.

"We signed Andy Carroll for five-and-a-half years, not for three weeks," Dalglish said. "[In the summer] we'll analyze what we need. Andy is going to be part of our team, so is Suarez, so we need a combination of players who are going to be complementary to what we have."

A native of Argentina, Perotti has been playing very well for his Sevilla squad and, according to various sources, has caught the attention of the Liverpool club. The 22-year-old winger has three goals and three assists in 22 games this season for Sevilla, who has very little chance of playing in the Champions League.

Even though he signed a five-year deal with Sevilla, the club has shown interest in dealing Perotti away if a decent offer is brought to the table. They are looking to get around £16 million for him.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Woods is looking for a broker to sell his 155-foot, multimillion-dollar yacht for upwards of $25 million. The boat is appropriately named "Privacy."

Sources from Woods' camp claim that the former international golf phenom offered the boat to his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. The boat was her wedding present in 2004, but she showed no interest in it last summer during their divorce settlements.

Maintenance of the giant vessel supposedly costs more than $2 million a year and requires a permanent staff of 13 crew members.

This past fall, Woods had the boat dry-docked in Ft. Lauderdale for painting and deck resurfacing.

The Post also reports that Woods purchased "Privacy" for $20 million, but feels that the boat's value has increased because of how well it was taken care of.

Pittsburgh fans were thrilled when they heard that their All-Star captain was cleared to skate with the team, but according to ESPN.com, Crosby still has a ways to go before he can play.

Penguins general manager Ray Shero emphasized that fans should not read too much into Crosby's return to skating, noting that it was part of the normal rehabbing procedure and that there was no way Sid the Kid would be playing in the regular season.

"It's a natural return for his progression here. His rehab has been ongoing," Shero said. "He's doing well with it, but at the same time, as a manager, I have no expectations of him coming back and playing in the regular season. That's not going to happen."

Shero added that morning skate involves no contact. Regular practices with the team are full-contact, and Crosby has not yet been cleared for that.

As far as the playoffs are concerned, Shero has not ruled out Crosby playing altogether, but is still being cautious in regards to his return.

"The playoffs are still two to three weeks away," he said. "I don't want to take away any hope from the players, but to return to game action in the Stanley Cup playoffs takes a certain level of fitness and game ready, and he is certainly not close to that at this point."

Crosby has been off the ice with a concussion since early January when he was on the losing end of two blindside hits.

The soon-to-be former Patriots running back will be a free agent whenever there is another NFL season and, according to ESPN.com, Taylor will not be returning to New England.

Taylor told the media that he will either retire from the league altogether or see where free agency takes him. However, he showed no interest in returning to New England.

He said that he enjoyed his time with the team and learned a lot, but it was time to move on.

“The last two years I’ve had a great experience of being in New England,” Taylor said. “Being with a great organization and learning what tradition is all about.”

Taylor added that although he enjoyed his time with the Pats, he felt that at times he could have done more to help the team. If he signs with a different organization, he hopes to have a larger role.

“I think I took my role, embraced it and made the most out of it and bought myself a few more years and still was able to perform at a decent level,” Taylor said. “I felt like when things weren’t getting done that maybe I could’ve been the one in there. And that’s every player. If you don’t feel that itch, that desire, that passion of wanting to be out there, then you’re just wasting your time. There were moments I definitely said, ‘Well I’m not tired, I’ve recovered, I got my wind back, why ain’t I in the game?’”

Taylor spent 11 years with Jacksonville before he landed with the Patriots in 2009.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Batch filed for bankruptcy in December, and now a federal judge has ruled that some of the QB's property, including two Super Bowl rings, can be used as collateral to pay off his debts. 

U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge Jeffrey A. Deller allowed Primerock Real Estate Fund LP to seize some of Batch's property in order to collect on its $820,000 claim.

Some of this property includes a 2006 Kawasaki watercraft, the assets of his living trust, federal income tax refudes, two Super Bowl rings and trophies, various pieces of autographed Pittsburgh Steelers merchandise and an autographed Mario Lemieux jersey.

Batch filed for bankruptcy when his real estate company, Batch Development Co. Inc., was turned over to the bank after defaulting on $1.15 million worth of mortgage payments.

Batch has listed $8.29 million in liabilities and $2.3 million in assets.

According to police reports and ESPN.com, Cabrera was belligerent when police asked him to cooperate so they could handcuff him. He wasn't pleased with this request and told the police to "[Expletive] shoot me. Kill me.

"Do you know who I am?" he continued. "I'm Miguel Cabrera. I play for the Detroit Tigers. You don't know my family."

Cabrera has pleaded not guilty to charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and two counts of resisting an officer without violence, but a 41-page report, police video and 911 audio recording may prove otherwise.

His night of trouble allegedly started with an argument with a Florida restaurant manager. According to police, Cabrera walked into Cowboys Bar-B-Q and Steak Co. at closing time and refused to leave. He then supposedly threatened the manager and the restaurant's occupants when asked to leave a second time.

"You don't know me," he said according to the report. "I will kill you. I know all of you, and I will kill all of you and blow this place up."

Since the incident, Cabrera has been following a treatment plan for his drinking.
