It took just 49 minutes of Portuguese Primera Liga action for Pawel Kieszek to reinforce one of the worst stereotypes soccerphobes have about the game.
Kieszek, Vitoria Setubal’s starting goalkeeper, watched as Porto’s Josue scored the tying goal early in the second half. The jubilant Josue then kicked the ball into the goal a second time before picking it up and trying to run back to the center circle.
Kieszek tried to kick the ball out of Josue’s hands, and the two went nose-to-nose. Kieszek then headbutted Josue. Josue went down because he was hurt. Kieszek went down in an attempt to fake an injury.
Fortunately, the referee saw the incident (click here to see it) and showed Kieszek a red card.
