Benjamin Galindo took charge of Mexican soccer giant Chivas de Guadalajara on Jan. 3. He was fired on Sunday after a 4-2 loss to Puebla at Chivas’ Estadio Omnilife.
The loss was Chivas’ ninth in 11 games (stretching back to last season). Chivas has earned just four points in its first five games of the Apertura tournament, causing the club to find a new head coach for the second time this year.
Galindo has previously managed Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul and Atlas, which leads us to believe that it won’t be long before “the Master” finds another job.
