Hanley Ramirez, SS/3B
The Los Angeles Dodgers enjoy spending money, so it’s likely that they’ll lock up Hanley Ramirez before he hits free agency. But if the three-time All-Star hits the open market, he could be an interesting target given his blend of power and speed.
Xander Bogaerts figures to be the Red Sox’ starting shortstop for the foreseeable future, and Boston’s third base mix includes two promising, young players in Will Middlebrooks and Garin Cecchini. Ramirez certainly would be a luxury, but the 30-year-old is coming off a strong season in which he hit .345.
