Jesse Crain went from one of the most sought after relievers available prior to the 2013 trade deadline to a buy-low candidate this offseason. Crain never pitched for the Rays after a midseason trade because of shoulder problems. When healthy, however, Crain can be a lights-out reliever. The 32-year-old posted a 0.74 ERA and 11.3 strikeouts per nine innings in 38 appearances with the White Sox before going down in 2013. He was also solid the three years prior, which makes him a worthwhile gamble for a team that could use a late-inning arm.
