Blanc has been out of work since last summer when he stepped down as manager of France’s national team after Euro 2012. His year-long sabbatical ended this week when he replaced Ancelotti at PSG.
The move makes him one of the merry-go-round’s chief beneficiaries, as he assumes control of one of European soccer’s most exciting projects. The only problem is that he is believed to be PSG’s eighth choice, and the French club reportedly is dead-set on hiring (Arsenal manager) Arsene Wenger next summer. Blanc should enjoy the ride while it lasts.
