Over and over again last season we saw the Patriots’ linebackers struggle in coverage. Alec Ogletree could solve those problems immediately. He’s a former safety who could project as a weak-side linebacker or middle linebacker in the 4-3 or an inside or outside backer in the 3-4. He’d likely start out as a sub-package player with a linebacker/safety hybrid role, but he would solve the speed issues New England faced in the middle of the field. With three starting linebackers over 250 pounds, the Patriots need a faster player like Ogletree.
8. Alec Ogletree, LB, Georgia
